For patients
Our reason to exist is to improve the quality of life of those living with vision loss related to inherited retinal diseases (IRDs) by addressing the underlying genetic cause.
Our two lead ocular programs aim to restore visual function and halt disease progression in those living with Usher Syndrome Type 1B and Stargardt disease.
About IRDs
Inherited retinal diseases (IRDs) are a group of eye conditions caused by genetic mutations that damage the retina’s light-sensing cells. The retina, a thin layer of cells at the back of the eye, captures light and sends signals to the brain to create images.
About clinical trials
Clinical trials are an important way to develop new and better treatments. They help doctors and researchers learn whether a medicine or medical product is safe, how well it works, and whether it could help future patients.
